My husband just posted this on FaceBook - I am still LOL - as he and I differ when it comes to music. I LOVE praise songs - and can sing them over and over. As you can tell, he has his own opinion:
The Problem with Praise Songs
First off, don't get me wrong. I love praising the Lord in song. I don't care if it is a classic hymn or a modern tune. My problem is praise songs that only have one verse that is repeated over and over. Would it have killed the author / composer to take a little more time and come up with a second verse? How hard could it be? Well i decided to find out for myself.
After singing today's praise song in church this morning, I decided to see how many additional verses I could come up with before the service was over. Here you go.

I'm only just catching up with reading after a few weeks of non-appearance and I have to say I really had a good chuckle at your husbands comment and rhyming! Good for him - my sentiments exactly. Blessings!
