What a Week!

aka: Nate's Best Week Ever!

DS has been offered a job! a real honest to goodness paying job. He starts May 26 and will be working as a designer/drafter for Synerject. The sad thing for me, is....he's almost making as much per hour as I AM....and I've been working for 27 years!! It's full time, temporary (no benefits) for right now......however it can become permanent with a few criteria being met, one of which is his attaining his degree. Which is fine - for right now he's covered on our health insurance.

He's also enrolled for 2 classes this summer. Since they are 8 week classes, it's much easier to get them out of the way now, than in the fall or spring semesters. He's going to be pretty busy until mid-July, but hey, he's 19 - what else does he have to do? LOL One of the other stipulations for his job was his instructor that recommended him for the job is now his advisor. He will be keeping a close eye one Nate to make sure he's not overloaded, and also that he's keeping on task with his school and his job. It feels kinda like a co-op program, but DS is the only one in it. LOL

DS has also been on *two* dates...his third will be tonight. They are going to the movies. No, I haven't met her yet, although I have seen a picture on Facebook. Apparently her parents are as protective of her, as we are of him. LOL

Yesterday, at the softball game, DS hit a home run. He was (and still is) thrilled over that accomplishment. I think he just wants to rub it in the rest of the team's face. Also, they won the game - the first this year.

It's rainy and dreary here this weekend. I'm in a funk. Oh yes, the hard drive on my laptop is toast. The laptop won't even boot up anymore.....this happened Friday night. So, until that is fixed (and no plans nor $$ for that in the near future), I'll be sharing this computer with DH and DS. It's the main one in the house, that everyone has easy access to.
