My new SUV.........

has been recalled! 2003-2005 Nissan Murano's have been recalled due to:

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in a posting on its Web site that a wire could break inside the alternator and prevent the battery from charging. The charger warning and brake warning lamps would come on and the battery would start to discharge. After a short time, the engine would go into a condition that limits the vehicle's speed and stop running, creating the potential for a crash.

I have to hand it to Nissan though........dang......they got right on it.....and issued a recall. Unlike another company "who shall NOT BE NAMED", that knows there is a problem with their engines and does NOTHING about it, because evrything is the consumer's fault. Whew...sorry, I got carried away again.

Anyway, YEA to Nissan. It's almost time for my first oil change and maintenance anyway, so we will schedule it later in August and get it all taken care of! So...KUDOS to Nissan!!
